Summer time is finally among us and its now time to shed those pastels from spring and really make a statement with some bold summer brights and neons! What better way to show your inner colorful wild child off then through your makeup! Me personally, I love to dabble in all sorts of random color match ups, glitters and sparkles. Over the past month or so I have really broken in my MAC pallets, ELF brushes and color boards daily with my mini experiments on how to be different from all the other makeup fiends out there! Here are some of my favorite experiments turned trends!

First and Foremost this is my transformation station lol It may not be much...but I have literally spent about a hour each morning creating different looks depending on the outfit of the day here. Sometimes depending on the day or event or just how I am feeling I like to go online and check out some of my favorite makeup tutorials to find some new hot looks, or whats in style. But most of the time I will plop down here on my designer ottoman and just experiment.
   Now I know you all are looking like 'does she really use all of this?'
Yes! I probably use about 95% of the items pictured here on a daily basis lol. I know its kinda sad. But unlike alot of these 'cakefaced' chics out here....you probably wouldn't even notice how much makeup I have on due to my practice with it. But yes,  sadly I do use most of this. lol
Some of my favorite pieces though are my lip sticks. lip glasses and lip glosses. I don't know if you notice but I have really full lips. And alot of the time when I take pictures, the attention is automatically drawn to them because they are so big. And the way that I keep them on point every day especially in this hot muggy weather....simple process of moisturizing,paint,bling! LOL I know..your probably like 'HUH?' Let me explain:

1.Moisturize: I normally always saturate my lips with coco butter,spf lip balm, lip wax etc. I put this on first because I hate the feeling of putting on lip gloss or glass and feeling like I literally have super glue or peanut butter stuck between my lips. A smooth first layer always makes your lips smooth and provides a base for your lipsticks and glosses to stick longer to your lip.
2.Paint: any kind of lipstick or color stain
3.Bling; POUR ON THE LIPGLOSS/LIPGLASS! Time to make your lipgloss pop! It doesn't matter if its just a regular shimmer clear glass.....a tinted gloss or whatever. This is the final step in making your pucker picture perfect for your next photo op!

I will say this and mean every word, letter, space, punctuation mark etc.....EYESHADOW IS MY LIFE! No....>serious face< it really is. I personally believe that eyeshadow is my own personal window into my soul. Ever want to know how I am feeling, check my eyeshadow out for the day. Bright colors=approachable, happy, fun-time....dark colors-hmmm think twice......smokey eye-yea ima sexy CHICA! And I have so many to choose from. This is where I have created some of the hottest summer looks within the past month or so. I have a extreme supply of multiple bright neon colors that I have mixed and layered and meshed all in one. And here are some of the top looks I have created:

I love using blue eye shadow with a really light pink/florescent tint on my upper lid. It gives a really nice shimmer to the primary color when the light hits it right.

I am infamous for using gold to highlight my brow as well as creating the 2tone half lid look with another color :)

This is actually a color I created from a neon green pigment I had with a small NYX sunshine pallet I found. Mixing the two together and creating my own hybrid lemon lime is always a crowd pleaser when I wear it. 

Especially because it matches with like four of my dresses and shirts perfectly :)

These are just a few ideas that you can use to make your summer your own when it comes to owning a look. Here are some great instructional vids that you can take alot away from with application, color schemes, dramatic looks, club looks and just everyday looks. Believe me I have studied these vids!
